Default Spanish radio?

Hi
I had lunch today in a restuant in west spain.
The owner said that they were given the set by a friend who found it out with the rubbish.
Does anyone know the maker and model?
Ian

Styling looks a bit French. Could be one of the myriad post war locally made (or at any rate cased) sets.

Looks similar to this Radio Intepra from 1945 from RMorg

The things people throw out amazes me... Maybe because I'm still in my "honeymoon period" of collecting, but that strikes me as the sort of thing I'd have bid on at our local auction just because it looks "different"!

The styling is similar to the Intepra picture above, but I think the Spanish find is meant to have 4 knobs. Good clue to the potential origin and age though as the cabinet at least is very close.

If the radio was ever officialy sold in Spain, there should be a "Permiso" plate on the chassis. This is a state license obligatory for every manufacturer of receiving equipment. If it doesn't state a brand name, the licensee number would still correspond to the manufacturer. If there isn't such a plate, it might have been attached to the back (though I don't know if that was allowed) or it might have been a kit set (not sure) or illegal import. Other possibilities might exist.
