HMV 2046 (70s) Question
Hello, just bought a HMV 2046 from a charity shop. Works fine but I am unsure what cable/connector I need to connect the speakers to the record player (has built in amp) it's not the usual PHONO RCA and the output lead looks very unusual. Just wondering if there is a connector/lead I need to look for to connect up to speakers? Thanks
Here are some images of the rear panel. Thanks! |

Re: HMV 2046 (70s) Question
Standard DIN speaker connectors, when fitting be careful not to have the connection shorting together or you will damage the amplifier.
These are the type but you should be able to find them in smaller numbers. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SQZ71..._30BvDbYVB18WR

Re: HMV 2046 (70s) Question
I notice there are four speaker sockets, the two labelled "Front" are probably the ones to use if you are connecting two speakers to it.
There's a circuit in this thread. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...ad.php?t=53096 |
