Ekco Factory, Haren, Belgium - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

I know that Ekco's Belgium factory, at Haren, closed in 1937. And that the company retained a sales and service function there until WWII.

But does anyone know please when Ekco opened its Haren operation?

Hi - according to the following reference - 1935, specifically to avoid / minimise import tariffs for goods from England...

According to "Ekco Sounds" (Poole and Brown, Estuary publishing 2013), Ekco opened a manufacturing and distribution site in Belgium in 1935.
