Default QST Articles downloads.

I've been trying to locate a thread posted here a couple of years ago regarding free downloads of QST articles but can't find it again. Can anyone help please? I've found the relevant bit on the ARRL website but they won't let me have access unless I'm a member, whereas the the link posted here had no such restriction as I successfully downloaded some articles at the time,
Cheers,
Jim
