Bletchley Radio Rally, Sunday August 28th
Hello all,
The Milton Keynes ARS Annual Rally is being held on Sunday August 28th at Bletchley Park. Gates open for visitors at 0930 and you won't be able to get in any earlier - this is due to the need to keep people clear of traffic movements as traders get set up. Trader / stallholder setup time is from 0730 to 0900. Please note the rally is on its own independent corner of the BP site and rally parking is offsite - some free on the street nearby and lots more for a small fee at the railway station just across the road. There will be a "left luggage" office near the rally entrance where bulky / heavy purchases can be securely deposited until you are ready to collect on leaving - so no need to walk a long way to the car weighed down with boatanchors... If you intend to visit the Bletchley Park museums and exhibits as well as the rally (very strongly recommended, especially the Diplomatic Wireless Museum) you should go through the main entrance and park in the BP car parks instead. A BP entry ticket lasts for a year's worth of visits, and one day really isn't long enough to see everything there. The museum is open from 0930 - 1700. More information at this page: http://www.mkars.org.uk/rally.html Pre-booking is advised if you want to bring a stall, as spaces are filling up. |

I can thorughly recommend the diplomatic wireless museum, some fantastic items on show in there, if the OP doesn't mind I can upload some photo's into this thread as a preview.
I visited bletchley last weekend for the second time, still didn't manage to take it all in! I think i spent too long warming myself over the hot valves. Dave. |

The rally itself should also carry warnings about possible serious wallet damage
