BVWS auction 14th January photos
I have just added 198 photos of items that will be offered in the BVWS auction on Sunday 14th January at Wootton Bassett, to the BVWS website. Further photos and the catalogue should be online in the next few days.

Oh dear, Lot's of thirties woodies including 4 recognisable McMichaels (3 that want to be bid on- I already have a Duplex Five!). I'd better make some comission bids and some space.... Josh.

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
There will be more photos in the next few days (hopefully Monday or Tuesday). Probably a similar quantity to those currently there. I believe there will be about 400 lots in total, and there are currently 198 photos on the site. Where there is more than one radio in a photo, they are all being offered together as one lot.

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
I wonder how much this Philips would go for.
http://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/woot...s/img_1944.jpg I'm interested in getting it....although with my luck it would end up going for 20 pounds or something like that. |

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
I have just added another 27 photos to http://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/woot...2007/index.htm (in a separate table below the others).
There will be around 400 lots in total, but it is unlikely that there will be time to get any more photos on the website now. The auction catalogue should be added in the next day or two. |

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
Mike and others in Swindon took them while sorting and lotting the items. I just make the thumbnails put them on the website, which doesn't actually take that long (thanks to ThumbsPlus software).
The thanks should go to Mike and the team in Swindon for all their hard work organising this. They have already put in a lot of time. |

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
Hi Paul...I'm sure someone else may have noticed but the date given on the main BVWS auctions page is 16 January rather than 14th January...

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
Hi sadly i wont be able to make it on the day. but noticed josh mentioned commision bids ! if i did this where would i collect the items from ? i realise i could probrably pay by card on demmand of payment but would this mean some poor person has to cart and look after my items?. there is a lot of nice goodies but sadly i have to work and it would be just to far for me to travel and get back to work. Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
Probably best to give Mike a call and sort it out with him.
He may be able to bring them to the Manchester meet next weekend, the Audio Jumble at Tonbridge or the next Harpenden. It depends on the size and quantity though. Otherwise you would probably have to collect from Swindon. |

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
I have just uploaded another nine photos. This is it for the photos, though it isn't all the lots.
I have added the auction catalogue as of today. A copy is also attached. |

Re: BVWS auction 14th January photos
Hi All,
Just so everyone is reminded, The Auction is at the Wootton Bassett Memorial Hall. Station Rd Wootton Bassett Nr Swindon. Wiltshire. M4 J16 nearest. The doors will open for viewing at 9:30 The auction starts bang on 10:30 Entry fee £3.00 on the door as usual. The usual hot food and snacks/drinks will be available from the Kitchen. You MUST be a paid up member to enter and be able to bid (Wifes/partners are of course very welcome and don't need to be members). You can join or renew your membership on the day from about 09:00 onwards though this might be time consuming. No excuses please... Best call Graham on 01793 886062 to join/renew by credit card before hand. Printed auction catalogues and biding cards will be available on the day. I think that covers it... I hope everyone has a great day! And spare a thought for my voice. Mike...

It's definitely better to phone Graham and get it sorted out in advance though. This makes it easier for everyone. |
