Default W.E.R. Transformers ?

Hi folks,

I am trying to find out any info on W.E.R. transformer Co, Where they were based, year's of manafacture, what else did they make etc, as I cannot seem to find any info?

I have one that was installed in an old 100W guitar amplifier and it was a replacement/repair job many years ago. The marking on it is W.E.R. T 1235

Any info would be much appreciated thank you.

I agree with Herald 1360. I have seen Whiteley transformers of a similar appearance, having a yellow label, but with a similar font lettering. Tony

Looking again at the O.P., I realise that Tritone is looking mainly for company history/information. Perhaps this will be a little help in that direction. https://www.gracesguide.co.uk/Whitel...rical_Radio_Co

OK, thank you everyone.

I guess then W.E.R. must be the Whiteley Electrical Radio Co here in the UK although I have seen WER transformers on ebay all from the USA and Canada for sale, but with a different font lettering eg; no dots after the capitals, WER

The same company? who knows

Thanks folks.
