Default Derwent Help

In a moment of total madness I brought a Derwent, Table type 1 set for £7.50. Does anyone know anything about Derwent, especially this set as I can find no service data etc

Hi

Could you take a photo of the set and post it on the forum for us all to see?

Derwent were closely related to the brand Raymond, and others, based in Middlesex. Its may be possible that after seeing a photo of your set it can be cross referenced to a similar set that uses the same chassis that service data is available for.

Ah-ha! You were the person who beat my high bid of £6.99, then !

It is a nice looking set. Good luck with the restoration.

Hi Phil

I had this one for a while I bidded the start price at £20 and was the only bidder. I collected it from Wincanton. It's has a bakelite cabinet, I post a pic later on. But I will have to get up in the Attic first. I don't knowthe Radio that you bidded on.

Whoops sorry Phil, I missed the end of the auction first time round. Here's the photos sent to me as I'm not collecting it until Friday

Hi Photoman,

No worries! You won the auction fair and square, well done. It will make a nice looking set, and good luck with the restoration. I didn't really need it anyway, as my garage is already stacked with plenty of other sets awaiting my attention...

Cheers

Phil

Well I've still got room upstairs and in the outdoor workshop so I can manage a few yet. Although my wife decided I had gone mad when I rescued my Philco A3 from a certain Antique and Collectors Fairs rubbish pile. Here's the photo you decide, although the insides are very good and complete

Well the sets home and it isn't actually missing a valve the socket seems to be a connecting plug to the missing speaker and output transformer. It is electroniclly very similar to a Philco 260, Steve
