Smile Old Pye Television info, please.

A friend of my cousin posted these photos of an old Pye TV that was found in a building somewhere in Wales.
It doesn't look too rough, and the tube has escaped damage despite the 'blister' missing.
She would like a little background info about it please. I know that it's a single channel model, but not much else. Possibly a 9" or 12" round tube? It has a 300 ohm aerial feeder instead of the 75 ohm co-ax of later years.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers, Pete.

Looks like a B18T from the late 40s?
They had a 9" tube.

And an advert from 1948, I like the comment about being transformer less.

The set is an LV20 (or BV20 if a Birmingham model) introduced in 1949.
The chassis is more or less identical to the earlier B18T, I have restored several of these little sets.
Pretty easy to work on & work well once restored, seems quite common for the "Bowler hat" to be missing from the back panel, but it looks like the CRT is fine.

Bowler hat?
Remedy - buy syrup sponge microwave pudding. Eat pudding. Affix new bowler hat. Job done.

Hi,
If the set were mine, that's exactly what I'd do. Any excuse to enjoy a syrup sponge pudding!
I think the set may be in north Wales, as my cousin has a place in Criccieth, and her friend, who found the set is, I believe, near Porthmadog. But I'm not 100% sure.
Cheers, Pete.
