Nice find Al.
A wealth of complete texts and magazines with adverts. Many in english. Even detailed construction notes for a 30 line TV receiver. Thanks for posting. Peter |

Re: Surplus radio conversion manual
Notice the famous name on the third conversion manual... Bill Orr edited it.

Re: Surplus radio conversion manual
Besides the one noted above, I am looking at:
Index to Surplus- 73' Magazine Command Sets- CQ Technical Series # 106 Surplus Radio Conversion Manual Vols. # 1 & 2 by R.C. Evenson and O. R. Beach I think there may be a few others also. (I know I have at least one more "newer" one, but not sure where Jillian put it before she died. She "re-arranged" my bookshelves). They used to be found at the ham fairs all the time, but now they are getting pretty scarce here. Typical prices are $15-35.00 USD when they are to be found. Possibly copies might be obtained from Abe Books online store. That company seems to turn up with some hard to find books quite often, but the prices are typically high. |
