R1155 /T1154 jack socket - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Hello all
I am trying to wire up a jack socket that takes the jack plug from the radio operators mike/headphone helmet on a Lancaster R1155/T1154 setup. The jack socket is Type 10H/2206 and it has four cables hanging from it coloured red, green, blue and yellow. Two of these are for the Mic and go to the T1154 mic socket and the other two are for the headphones and go to the T1154 headphone/key 4 pin plug pins 15 and 16. I do not have a jack plug at present to test it the obvious way so does anybody know what four colours go to which connectors.

Mike, Will have a nose in the garage tomorrow - I had loads of these drop lead sockets at one time - not sure if I sold them all at various rallies...

Mike,

I've just had a look at the intercom wiring diagram for the Lancaster (figure 30 of AP2062B), thinking I would find an answer there. The colour coding identification of these wires looks to be the only piece of information not shown!!!

I would also like an answer as I will face the same issue in my R1155/T1154 set up.

Mike,
Further to my first reply, I have just had a chat with pal who has put together a T1154/R1155 setup. He connects an RAF helmet with built-in headphones and microphone via a drop-lead jack socket, and deduced the colours by tracing back through the helmet wiring.

Red is +T
Blue is -T
Green is -M and screen
Yellow is +M

This is not common with the Post Office standard.

Got there in the end!
