Default Sony HVC-2000P. Lens removal information.

Hi, does anyone know if the lens can be removed from the Sony HVC-2000P video camera or similar? I'm after using the lens on a different camera - how does it detach?

All help would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Sony HVC-2000P. Lens removal information.

Hi there,

I've been servicing my HVC-3000P and it seems to be similar in design to the HVC-2000P.

The lens assembly can be removed, but it will require some disassembly of the side panels.

If you remove all of the black side panels, you will notice some screws internally towards the front of the camera on what will look like a metal shaft. Remove the front two towards the black section and the lens can be gently twisted and pulled out. Be careful not to snag the wires for the zoom lever when you do, and take care not to damage the belt for the zoom motor (unless it needs replacing)
