Archiving PM
Mods
Today I got the following e-mail "Your private messages box on UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum has reached 90% of your allowed quota. To ensure that you do not reach 100% of your allowed messages, you should consider archiving or deleting some of your messages." Happy with this and fully understand the reasons for it, however although I understand the deleting e-mails bit I can not find any info on archiving messages (apologises if I missed it). As I assume this is to do with storage on the servers, so is there any way I can download the messages for me to keep. Or do I create another. Please note this is not a moan just a plea for a pointer in the right direction. Regards TYJ

Re: Archiving PM
If you open your inbox and scroll to the bottom you'll see "Selected Messages:" and a dropdown menu.
From that menu you can create a folder to store your PM's in or, from the same menu, you have the option to download the PM's (in various formats) and store them on your PC, on a CD or whatever. |

Re: Archiving PM
Hi Darren, thanks for that, a very useful piece of information.
Is there an "idiots guide" anywhere for all the bells and whistles that are no doubt available on the forum, and which the average user is not aware of ? Best regards, Ed |

Re: Archiving PM
Hello Darren,
Ah, knowing Paul Stenning I knew there had to be an easy why to do it, funny how you can't seem to find these things when you're in a hurry! Many thanks for the tip. TYJ
