Stellaphone R 2 R idler wheel
Hi all,
I've been trying to get a stellaphone reel to reel recorder to play and fast forward but the idler wheel isn't making contact with the fly wheel. My customer has bought another tape recorder in an effort to make one good one out of the two but both have the same problem. Does anyone have an idler wheel for this model or know of a way to remedy this? Many thanks. |

Sounds more like hardened grease on a linkage to me.Post some photos of the guts.

I think this is much the same as the Philips EL3586 which may help in finding service information for it.

Re: Stellaphone R 2 R idler wheel
Seems like something mechanical or sticky grease that’s stopping it from moving as it should. Close visual inspection should show what is happening.
