Default Mendips Rally 9th June.

This Sunday, at Farrington Gurney near Bristol.

It's the successor to the old Frome rally.

Posted purely for info, I have no connection with the organisers.

It’s a very pleasant event and have attended the last two. Sadly due to poor health I will not be able to attend this years event.

I visited, being able to combine the journey with seeing friends in Bristol for an afternoon barbie.

It seemed smaller than in the past, there were empty tables in the main hall, but about the same number of stalls in the outdoor car boot area.

I bought a few coax connectors, a 70cm mobile antenna and a couple of HF antenna books.

I managed to avoid the temptation of a portable Pye Westminster, the cost of replacing all the D-cells in the battery pack would have well exceeded the £20 the sellers wanted for it.

Newbury in a couple of weeks!!

No wonder mine soon went at £9.50 at Spalding rally, with Saft cells in unknown condition.
