I'm coming but not bringing anything. I need to replenish my capacitor stocks at the BVWS stall to keep me going thro' the winter months!

Looking forward to it, always worth the drive down.

I'll be there. I'm not bringing or planning to buy anything (though I will have a few of my CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs in the car).

I always enjoy the Royal Wootton Bassett swapmeets/auctions, even though I'm normally knackered after helping with the auction!

I'm intending to be there - and, as usual, would be grateful for reminders of any arrangements about which I have forgotten. I have arranged to add another couple of issues to my collection of Practical Wireless.

The only things I shall bring with me are a few items left over from the Golborne bring and buy - to add to the RWB B&B for society funds.

Hi All,

There will be an auction catalogue and also pictures of "Some" of the items sent to Paul over the next couple of days.

The main problem is I am suffering with a streaming cold and also it has not stopped raining here for days.

I have a store packed solid with stuff for the auction and also the van is full of stuff we went out to get last weekend, but until I can get a few hours of dry weather I cannot do anything with it as the photos are all taken outside!

Keep looking back and you should see when I have sorted it all out.

There is quite a lot of early stuff and 1920's radios, horns and even a Mark III Tuner.

Sorry to hear about the cold Mike - I can sympathise as I had one last week (and I have had my flu-jab!). I hope your voice recovers for Sunday!
Cheers

Hi Mike, hope you are feeling better soon. I hope to come but my car developed a fault today, intermittently leaking water, so it depends on what we find tomorrow.

Hi All,

Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Now feeling much more like myself, although still bunged up.

Getting on with the Auction photographing (as it is now dry) and will be spending all of Thursday doing it as well.

I will send the pictures and catalogue to Paul as soon as I can.

Could be a long Auction, as there is more than I first thought hiding in the BVWS store.

I should be in fine voice for Sunday, I hope... and it looks like its going to be a fine bright day as well.

Excuse my ignorance, but I need to check that there's admission on the door (BVWS members). I'm planning to come, but on checking the Bulletin see that Members tickets were being sent out for WB - and as it's 7 days I have missed the boat for advanced tickets. I've been to Golborne and Harpenden, so assumed the arrangements are similar.

Can someone clarify this? Thanks (Not wanting to make work, but could do with an FAQ for BVWS events) - and thanks for all the effort people put in.

Tony

I can answer my own question now, having spoken to Mike. There is admission on the door, via the queue which goes in pretty quickly. The advantage of tickets in advance is that the queue is bypassed, but these need to be ordered a week ahead at least. Mike also advised me that auction photos are on the way. Thanks again to Mike.

Yes I will get the photos on the website in the morning. It is only some of the items, there will be more on the day.

Hopefully the catalogue will be available tomorrow too.

Please see http://www.bvws.org.uk/auctions/phot...tton-dec-2012/

This is only 112 of the lots but is all Mike is able to photograph. There will be many more on the day.

Hi Mike,

Well done on a super auction list - I'll be there on Sunday and to give a hand unloading your van etc. Sorry to hear you have been unwell. If your cold is going to get in the way that day, I would be happy to take some of the sale for you - afterall, auctioning is what I do!

Shame on me for not going to Royal Wootton Bassett before. This will be my first time, so I've saved up to make up for all those pick and mix items I should have bought before.

see you there.

Hi Laurence,

We will be arriving at 06:30hrs to unload the van.
I do not expect anyone else to be there at that dreadful hour as it will be a bit on the parky side and dark.

It will be good to see you there.

Mike.

06:30?! I'll get her to kick me out of bed and I'll try my best. There's always the crash barrier to help keep me on the M4.

I've had my first warning today about buying any large gear from RWB for the shed. It's a good job I have a side gate isn't it! I still have a sore ear from buying that gorgous LT shop charger from Harpenden - got it working last month and I'm really happy with it.
