Grundig TK 20 Volume
Hi Everyone, just need some help with my Grundig TK 20. Everything seems to work fine until I go to adjust the volume and then I get this rumbling sound from the speaker and after a while the volume reduced. Any help would be welcomed. Thanks.

Re: Grundig TK 20 Volume
From memory the TK20 was full of brown Wima capacitors. If it is change them all. They are notorious for going leaky.

Re: Grundig TK 20 Volume
What is the machine doing, when you attempt to change the volume ?
Is it playing a tape? If so, below the rumbling, can you still hear the tape ?

Hi Steve, Sorry for being so late with this but just saw you’re reply now.
In answer to you’re question the machine plays fine until you go to adjust the volume then it produces this bass rumbling sound until you stop adjusting. Any ideas ? Richard. |
