Just want to add that there's a Ferrograph Series 7 thread on tapeheads.net that has a photo of the early model head block. The mounting holes have a very similar arrangement.

Thank you Sue. I got your PM that's a lot less than I thought it would be. I will drag it out over the next day or two and measure the head block and see if it will fit.

Hi Dave, there’s a Series 7 playback head on eBay right now. I probably cannot post a link here but here’s the picture and it appears to have the right number. Edit: just noticed it does not have suffix ‘z’ on its number so not so sure it’s compatible?
