Default AVO model 72

Hi guys. I have bought an avo model 72 in real good condition. It would appear that the only fault I can see that there is something wrong with the lowest ohms range. For example when you short the probes out it reads zero, correct. However, if you put a low values resistor across it WG , 20 ohm, 75 ohm , 150 ohm it still reads zero. I have the circuit here but with the switches having difficulty in following on the screen. Any experts out there. Have had it apart and the high value , close tolerance resistors, three of them read correctly.
Regards
