DAC90A output transformer replacements
Hi Gents, in a previous thread on this topic about 1 year ago, I suggested it should be possible to make repro units.
I have tried this and they have been tested by another forum member with audio test gear, who tells me the performance is the same as the original. I've now used up my last 2 transformers on repairs so I will be winding some more. These are the same size and fit into the clamp on the DAC90A without any mods. They also work on the DAC90. I believe I can also produce them for similar small valve sets. As a service to forum members I can sell these at £10 ea, including postage. Please PM me if you would like one.. Best regards, Ed Dinning |

Re: DAC90A output transformer replacements
These are a bargain compared to the multi-purpose ones from RS which arent an easy fit and dont sound as good. Well done Ed, the little Bush trannies pack in if you breath too heavy on them Steve.

Re: DAC90A output transformer replacements
Hi Gents, first batch now sold, let me know if you want anymore. I can easily wind them, so note the name for future requirements.
Thanks, Ed |
