EL-something output valve?
Hi,
When I found the 6AM4 mentioned in my previous thread, I was actually looking for this one. I think it's possibly a line output valve made by Philips with part of the type no. rubbed off (typical!). The pin out is: 1- g2, 2- h, 3- k,g3, 4- g1, 5- g1, 6- k,g3, 7- h, 8- g2, top cap- a. Odd that the pin out is symmetrical. There's an etched no. 6730 FN-2 What might this valve be? Over to you chaps. Thanks. Cheers, Pete.

Re: EL-something output valve?
Possibly the EL300. Designed as a line output valve. There was also the PL300.
Certain early colour TVs used two in the line output stage, for example the early 60s Bush round CRT colour TV. From the Radiomuseum: http://www.radiomuseum.org/tubes/tube_el300.html The valve was developed in France by Clifte. DFWB. |
