Default Belgian RTT 56 - wiring for UK??

Hi, I have a Belgian phone which is wired for UK, but the wires are a bit threadbare so it's not properly working! Can get dial tone but that's about it.

As it's difficult to figure out which wires go where and I'm an amateur at this, I wondered if anyone could explain how the wiring is supposed to be?

Thanks.

If the wires are simply threadbare, is it not simply a matter of noting where a wire is connected at each end and replacing with a new length of wire? Or have wires already been disconnected?
