Smiths Sectric Model 265 Help
Hi All,
Just been given one of these clocks which isn't working. Mains powered. I have looked at several articles on this site but haven't identified this particular model, maybe I've missed a link and info exists? I am looking for some pointers/advice as to how to proceed with potential dismantle and repair (if possible!). Suspect (hope) this is the start of a great interesting discussion |

Re: Smiths Sectric Model 265 Help
Hi Chris and welcome,
How are you with mains electrical things? Don't switch it on yet, but can you check the resistance between live and neutral on the mains lead? By now it probably needs a complete overhaul but as it's a chiming clock not the best one to start on, however we'll see what happens first.
