Default New amateur AM facebook group

Just to let any vintage or home brew AM radio amateurs know that there is a new facebook group for us.

AM Amateur Radio UK and Europe: https://www.facebook.com/groups/656582541370211/

(This is separate from my previous AT-5 group post.)

Regards,

Ian

Well, whilst we are one the subject...

This is mainly for CW (through FISTS) but of course any mode will welcomed.

Chirp ‘n’ Drift 2018

1800Z Friday 2nd November to 0100Z Saturday 3rd November this year is the Chirp n Drift event. The Dam Busters activity a few months ago was just too much fun to be allowed to go away for ever. I think that on the Friday night there are no contests (is there EVER a night with no contests??), the kids will be in bed, the work will be finished and the weather too rubbish to be out, so…fire up the crystal / valve gear, warm up the vintage wartime stuff and let's have another bash. Open to all, obviously, it is nothing more than a focal point for vintage operators. Spread the word, pass the details and let's have fun.

I'd be very interested in how you propose to use your KW2000 for AM. It's something I've been thinking about for some time but have yet to come up with a workable solution.
