Re: Black Box Cabinet
You've made a great job of that - very well done, looks fantastic!
Shame about the badge, but live and learn - stick it back together with a bit of superglue. |

Re: Black Box Cabinet
Thank you for the kind remarks, I certainly found it tricky but I least it was worth while. I tried using super glue on the Badge, but it just didn’t take, except to my fingers, then tried Araldite but just made a mess, so I’ve given up on the original badge.

Re: Black Box Cabinet
A real achievement which far outweighs the demise of the badge. So glad you decided to strip the whole cabinet. Excellent result.

Re: Black Box Cabinet
Thank you. It certainly took my mind of our current situation, and I enjoyed doing it. Thanks again for all your kind comments.

Re: Black Box Cabinet
That’s exactly what my wife said. I’m going to have a fiddle with the cartridge, it’s the original Acos Hi-g, which is working but the out is down so I’m going to carry out a few tests.

Re: Black Box Cabinet
I received the “hifi” badge, it really is supposed to be a name badge but I asked them to write Hifi.
I’d like to know what you think, should I attach the badge or not? I personally like it. John |

Re: Black Box Cabinet
Looks fine to me and certainly better than two small holes. I think I'd use double sided tape to make it easier to replace if the real things turns up one day.

Re: Black Box Cabinet
Just received the new HiFi badge from Jon at Sawfish Laser.
I’m delighted with it and it only remains for me to spray it with gold paint and then attach to cabinet. John |
