Not sure about the scent, but the sleeves are still available - Farnell have them listed under 'Hellemanntyton' sleeving.

For most small heat shrinks I use a ciggy lighter I bought in one of the £ shops. For bigger stuff I "acquired " in my days on railway work ,i use a heat gun. At work ,out in th field we;d use a gas gun ( similar to what plumbers use).

They still do, as do RS, Hellerine also.

Much better than Heatshrink for some jobs where overheating components is a risk.
