Default Capacitor Markings.

Can anyone decode the information on this electrolytic can?

Top Line:- K50-13
Centre Line:- 350B250M +50 -10%
Bottom Line:- 0580

I have tried to attach a photo, but to no avail.

Sounds Russia, B is Russian for V, and M is for uF.

So I reckon it is a 250uF 350V capacitor

Searching for Russian electroytic capacitor confirms that.

And I suspect that 0580 is the date code (May 1980)

They all seem to be marked K50-(number)

Anyone else have any ideas?

Craig

I believe Craig to be right regarding the value & voltage of the capacitor, but to attach pictures you need to press the 'go advanced' button under the reply box, and follow the instructions there.

Thanks for that Craig, that seems quite feasible. Looking at images of Russian capacitors, shows similar markings, thanks a lot.

Thanks ' Live Wire'. tried your suggestion, still no result. I will have to look at the FAQ's to find out how to do it!

There are file size limits, so check what images you intend to post don't exceed those.

File size should not matter as the forum just limits it and shows accordingly.

Just go "advanced" and attach file of choice.
