Ah! the 14A86 brings back memories. One of my school teachers built a set, we would walk round the playground discussing it until separated by my teacher who named me 'radio junk' because 'electronics' although not called that then, was all I was interested in.

He was determined I was going to have an 'all round education' told me I would never do any good. I visited the school about 3 or 4 years later in my Vauxhall Cresta, the teachers were still on bicycles - the TV trade was wonderful in the early days.
