Late production radios were made in Hong Kong with the Sunderland factory making TVs.

It's worth remembering that for some time radios used germanium audio stages with
rf stages using npn silicons in an upside down circuit. The benefits being the IF transformers (collector load) going to common ground.

It mentions in 'The Setmakers' that Perdio moved radio production to the far east not long after establishing their factory in Sunderland (approx 1962?) in order to mitigate the influx of japanese portable radios; and concentrating UK production on their TVs.
