Default Mystery Scrap Chassis

Not mine, and IMHO only fit for measuring to make a new one and then scrap, but someone asked on the Aviation Forum what he had just purchased(!), obviously hoping it was an aircraft-related relic of historical interest.
About 2 feet square.

I suspect it may be from an old TV.......

It would be nice to identify its origin though - any ideas?

Looks TV related to me as well

That Rectifier arrangement very common in 1950's sets I want to say Murphy based on some dim memory

Yes TV chassis, Murphy, half wave live chassis job the big circular cut out on the rear apron is for the circular mains voltage selector.

Similar to this one, note the chassis brackets under the bottom corners of the CRT:
