Can anyone identify this chassis?
Im looking at the chassis from a Collaro RC456 high fidelity radiogram. I can't identify the maker of radio chassis, I can't find any trader sheets for Collaro.
I have looked at the chassis and rear cover and there is no ID plate to be found, can anyone help?

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis? 🤔
RC456 is the model number of the Collaro record autochanger deck, manual for that is here:
https://nvhrbiblio.nl/schema/Collaro_RC456.pdf Any pics of the radiogram as a whole? Lawrence. |

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis? 🤔
It's unlikely you'll find Trader sheets for Collaro since that's the make of the deck, not the radiogram.
The chassis looks very bog standard 4+R with an easy layout for a few cap replacements or even reverse engineering. The valve lineup might help with identity- if it's anything unusual and not just Mullard / Philips standard. Photos of the whole radiogram might be helpful, if it still exists.

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
Standard chassis of this type were made to be installed in existing cabinets, sometimes
by hobbyists, but more often by retail furniture shops wishing to include a r/gram in their product ranges. |

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
That's about what I thought, I'll get a phot of the cabinet, and get the valve no later,
The problem is with the radio /amp very low volume and only being a "learner" a ™ trader sheet will be invaluable

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
It looks similar to a McCarthy brand (Felgate Radio Ltd) chassis from the mid-1950s that I refurbished a few years ago.
They made chassis for DIYers and multiple shop retailers to put into "own brand" cabinets/radiograms, etc. If you have the Radio & TV Servicing books from the 1950s, some McCarthy models are covered. Trader/ERT/RER service sheets may also have covered some McCarthy models of this era. |

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
Compared with many other RG Innards that turn up this one seems to be very well laid out and uncluttered-ideal for working on if necessary. Most of these chassis's were quite basic but the sound was often very impressive [at the time] especially in a substantial cabinet. If that's the "case" here it could be a winner on both fronts!

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
That's a very good looking chassis, great to work on, quality components as well especially with the screened transformer.

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
Before anyone asks, the 5Y3gt was the search clue....similar chassis as this:

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
I can't see a dedicated PU socket Clay S . Was the deck hard wired in via the grey lead perhaps?

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
It was hard wired in with speaker cable, along with the power lead

Re: Can anyone identify this chassis?
Ok thanks for that. I automatically looked for a "pick up" socket
