Default Avo Valve Tester No. 3

I have an Avo Valve Tester No. 3 with chrome handles and a shelf for the manual - I understand that it is therefore the Avo Mk11. I have the operators manual and have downloaded the EMER manuals from the vmars archive. Did Avo produce a service manual for the Mk11 - if so can anyone let me have a pdf copy or point me to where I can download a copy.

Thanks, Mark.

Hi Mark,

The only manuals with service information that I have seen are the original "Working Instructions" page 26-27 shows "Notes on simple maintenance of instrument" and the EMER manuscript "1283_TestersValveAVO_EMERTelsY814_FieldBaseRepair s" page 5-9. I've never seen any "proper" AVO service manual for the Mk I or Mk II, if you get hold of one I would be interrested in a copy.

Thanks, I have the EMER documents from the vmars site but was also looking for the actual AVO service manual which must presumably have been produced. If I can track it down I will obviously be happy to share it!

Hi Mark, I think there were some details of servicing these machines in Radio Bygones or Chas Millers Radiophile mags, but some years ago.

Radio Bygones Christmas 2011 Issue No 134 covers the Mark 1 and 2.(No mention of a mark 3 however)
The VCM 163 is in the Christmas 2012 Issue No140.
