Hello David if you check post '11' you'll see that I listed a photograph of what I believe to be a black DAC90A. It does seem logical that if there are DAC90's in black then surely there has to be some early DAC90A's in black too?

I've taken the liberty of enhancing a crop from that image, attached hereto.

Hmmmm......on closer inspection this does look dark brown rather than black...

Whilst not forgetting that mucking around with brightness and contrast on images can do funny things, the radio at centre left is definately a different colour/shade to the 'walnut' examples.

Therefore, does this mean Bush did two different shades of brown? the 'walnut' brown and a darker, perhaps unwalnutted, brown?

If you go back to the link I gave in post #18, click that link and scroll to the end of the resulting page, the radio at the bottom appears to be the same as the suspect one in post #22.

It does seem that the patterning and colour varies hugely - my own DAC90a has very little 'figuring.' Perhaps a few ended up being black, or as near as makes no difference, by chance if not design.

Here are my 2 new Bush DAC90A's. Just waiting for the post man to deliver them (fingers crossed undamaged). Ray said he's doing a bit more research on the DAC90A but he still thinks there was a few early black one's as a cross over from the earlier DAC90.
