Default Facelift for RIC1

I have got a RIC1 that badly needs some cosmetic improvement (see image).
Can anyone pass on the name and address of anyone to whom they have sent a Roberts for a re-cover. If someone was especially pleased with the result they might have a reccomendation.

Hi Neil

I got one of these from a boot sale that needed recovering. so I had a go at it myself, I got some cloth from F.J.Ratchford in Stockport and set to, it wasn't to difficult just take your time, I am quite impressed with the results. So if you fancy having a go at it yourself I think I have some cloth left, and could be persuaded to part with some of it.

Thanks guys for those comments it means a lot. I was really pleased with the way it came out, so pleased infact i've done two more (minimum order for cloth was 1 sq meter and they are very generous with the measure i got nearly 1.5 metres so i had plenty) I still have some left so I may do some more.

Mike it's really good to see your well on the way to a good recovery

Anyway just time for a quick beer before bed

Kind regards Ian

Does the case of a RIC 1 dismantle to allow you to remove the old covering?
How do you get the trim off? Any solvent necessary to clean and prepare the case for the new material? Particular tools necessary (best sort of knife, that kind of thing).
At least a RIC 1 is all square corners.
I wonder if you could get the cloth with a Wm Morris print??
Seriously: I would rather have someone from here make a good job of it than a one by me. I was never very good at crafts at school, which was a long while ago now. Can someone help?
