Default Teak end pieces - best polish?

Hi All,

As the collection of Roberts is growing, what is the best sequence to use to get the teak end peices to "show quality"?

cheers

Jim g7NKS

p.s. should we start a "Concourse D'elegance" at the next harpenden for the best turned out Roberts or Hacker?

Hello Jim,

I use either Topps medium scratch cover polish if the teak ends are just a bit dull, or teak oil if they're scrached or blotchy. If the latter, I rub down first with coarse and then fine sandpaper and then rub the teak oil into the teak with wire wool. It works wonders and isn't that difficult to do.

I'll bring my Hackers/Roberts along to a 'Concours D'elegance'

Howard

Don't know what other folk think, but I often use Servisol 'Refurb 40' spray polish for jobs of this nature. As Howard says 'Topps' is very good where scratches are involved.
