Vintage Ekco radiogram value?
Hi there,
I wonder if anyone could tell me anything about this radiogram... specifically, how much it might be worth to somebody interested in this sort of thing. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Vintage Ekco radiogram value
This looks like an export model, maybe with no FM waveband. I can't see the Autochanger inside so as to better date this and suggest a value for you. Likely to be from c.1956.
When working it should give a very nice (Mono) sound, but don't expect it to be worth much.

Thanks mate. At least I know. I need to shift it. It came from a house clearance of an elderly relative. What would you suggest I ask for it?

Re: Vintage Ekco radiogram value
Does it have a model number, probably on the back cover. A photograph with the lid open would help too.

Re: Vintage Ekco radiogram value?
£25 would be realistic IMHO but it's not the most appealing model I've ever seen, so it could take a while to shift it.

Re: Vintage Ekco radiogram value?
Thanks for this photo. Yes, this is from 1957/58 and the Garrard autochanger's tone arm has been fitted with a later Stereo-Compatible cartridge so it can play stereo LPs, albeit in Mono. This may be of interest to EKCO collectors and you may get up to £25-00 for it.

I got one the same in fairy good condition. I liked the idea it was a little different being a tea planter and it doesn’t take up to much space . It’s on the todo list. Only paid a fiver at a radio rally Andy
