SAREL Radio Cabinet Connectors
Afternoon everyone
I am trying to find out what these connectors are called on the bottom of a 1980’s SAREL Radio Cabinet. I know what their use was but there is no marks to identify who made them. The male is DC power in and the female is for an external speaker. The cabinet was used to house a Burndept BE525 set inside a Royal Observer Corps Monitoring Post. Any help identifying them is greatly appreciated. |

Re: SAREL Radio Cabinet Connectors
They look a bit Belling Lee - I think they had some weatherproof features.

Re: SAREL Radio Cabinet Connectors
The middle one is the same as was used by the UK Military on lots of kit in the 1950s - for example the 12VDC input to the R209 receiver.
As noted upthread, made by Belling-Lee. I think the part-number was L1349/CP The coaxial connector looks like a small version of the "N" connector. Last edited by G6Tanuki; 18th Sep 2019 at 6:19 pm. |

Brilliant guys, its definitely a Belling Lee.
Now the fun of trying to find the plug that connects to it begins!! Have found something close on eBay so might just buy it and hope it fits. |

Also used on the Larkspur series of British army radios, especially for external loudspeaker connections.

Really great replies everyone.
Have managed to buy the proper fittings on eBay. For reference, here is the remains of a broken plug that we found. |
