This type of capacitor (not an electrolytic type) can be fitted either way round.

As already suggested, fit them so that the value can be seen.

That's the correct way Daz.
Just for future reference, R98 is the cathode bias resistor and looks a bit cooked. It's rough condition will not prevent the frame stage from working so that can be dealt with later. It's value is 300 ohms which is a non standard value.
I fitted a 330 ohm in mine and as you can see, it is OK. Just carry on with the cap replacements but take care! John.

It would help if the values were visible or perhaps in focus. Then members would know if you've fitted the right value caps in the right places. Could save a lot of bother later on.

One of the campictors is 0.02. I have a 0.22, is this one correct

Going back to post #211, C115 is 0.02uF or 20nF. Replacement would be 0.022uF or 22nF.

You cannot replace this with 0.22uF.

Job done apart from one comp, C115, I only have 2 comps left 0.47 uf
