I have seen these dimmer plugs in use at a vets surgery controlling infra red lamps for warming pets that are old, very young, weak or sick.
Particularly useful for cats or dogs that have fallen into ice cold water and are at risk of death from cold even after rescue. |

I remember the rare unsleeved moulded plug on my Mum's Kenwood Chef had to be replaced during a service as the engineer said he had to fit a sleeved one to pass the PAT test.

Clas Ohlson is a Swedish company. Its operation in the UK is comparatively recent, about ten years.
