I am surprised that you have seen it as not issued as it seems to be quite common.

Here is my card punch, and how it was made and used.

I cut two 6mm mild steel card shapes. I drilled all holes 9/32" and taper reamed them so the punch enters, and the cut paxolin discs exit, easily.
Five clips hold the plates together with the blank card between. This leaves space to carve the side cutout of the paxolin blank, and chamfer the corners, using the plates as a jig.
The card edges were filed to shape, tested for fit in the machine, and smoothed with sandpaper.
The punch is 9/32" silver steel, hardened, and tempered purple. The drilling machine is used as a press to punch the holes in the blank cards (with the spindle not revolving!).
The card blanks were cut from Presspahn 150 SRPB (P1 Paxolin) 0.8mm sheet. A 1220x1220mm sheet will yield 53 blanks, barring mistakes!
The material is somewhat brittle but I found it will cut by scoring and snapping, or by treadle guillotine. The edges can be sharp, especially after snapping, and needed thorough smoothing with a sanding block.
I have only punched a few cards so far, but it seems to work well enough.

Hi Folks.
Does anyone have the hole details for an EL506 pentode. It is not listed on the MHSVT chart.
I see from the Valve museum website that it is a replacement for the 7868 USA type used in guitar, and hi fi amps.. (Fisher X-100B).

Sadly neither of those valves are in any Mullard list I have seen for the MHSVT.
Perhaps someone can find an almost-equivalent?

The nearest valve data I can find to match the 9868 it the KT66 which I have a card for.
I have ordered a B9D valve base to make an adaptor using an old octal valve plug from a defunct valve.
There is an adaptor no. 10 in the MHSVT kit but the internal connections do not fit the KT66.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Hi folks.
I have made up the adaptor, and using a new 7868, the KT66 card barely lifted the spot off the red line. Next I tried 6V6 card and this was much better, lifting the spot into the top of the yellow band. I will stick with this for the time being. Of the 4 7868's in the amp 3 are showing electrode faults, 1 good one.
There are quite a lot of output valves with same pin connections, so I may try a few more when I have time.
