Default Sony HP-511. Belt size needed.

hi

i have a sony hp-511a on the bench. the drive belt is in bits, the service manual gives no indication of the size. anyone have the dimensions please. ?

I suspect you'll have to do some measuring. Cotton tied around the pulleys has worked for me in the past. There was a thread recently about measuring belts but I can't immediately locate it.

thanks to all for the help. managed to find the correct size dimensions for the belt for the sony hp-511a. for the record its 195mm x 6mm. the 6mm is important otherwise the speed change won't operate correctly.
