Default AVO 8 (MK1) with red and black binding posts

There is an Avo model 8 (mk1), with red and black banana terminal built in Dover.

As far as i know, the factory in Dover opened in April 1964.

The Avo 8 mk2 was introduced in 1956, so for several years it seems that Avo was producing both models, 8 mk1 but using the new black and red banana jacks and the model 8 mk2.

I've never seen a mark 1 with the newer terminals. That on the left is a mark 2.

The one on the left has a blank space instead of 500 volts. And the scale of both are the Avo 8 mk1 one. In this photo it can see better.

If it is a model 8 mk1 with new terminals, i think it is strange due to the dates of the opening of the Dover Factory.

If it is a a model 8 mk2, it has the front panel of the 8 mk1 without the 500 volts range. That seems even more strange for me.

The early mark 2 didn't have the 500vdc range.

Mk 1 to 3 had the same scale. Scale changed for Mk 4 and again from mk 5.

I though Avo 3 did not have “thousands” at the top (left side)but is just the number and letter style what is different.

Thanks
