Antique Wireless Association South Africa (Ham Radio)
As per the title, this will probably be of more interest to those with an interest in older ham radio equipment, particularly the Newsletters and Articles pages.
http://www.awasa.org.za/ Having said that, there are some articles in the newsletters of general interest like restuffing can electrolytics and so on. Edit:- Should have read the home page properly:- Quote: "The AWASA is a non-profit organization run by volunteers for all radio amateurs, short wave listeners and anybody who has an interest in older types of short wave radios and other equipment, such as test equipment from earlier days. Although most members are licensed radio amateurs who concentrate on amateur radio transmitters and receivers, there are also some who restore and use vintage broadcast receivers and others who specialize in test equipment. We have members with a wide range of interests encompassing the days of crystal sets up to fairly modern ex-military radio equipment." Last edited by Terry_VK5TM; 25th Nov 2018 at 2:11 am. |

I wasted an afternoon reading through a few years of the newsletters, some interesting tid bits hidden there in.
