Hello Reg

A few questions:

Does the PA current appear to be 'right'?
Does the lack of output power happen in all modes, even in tune mode?
Is there a satisfactory 'click' from the relays when using the PTT?

I have an FT102, but its some time since I gave it an airing.
The number one cause of trouble with these, as I'm sure you're aware, is relays.

Mine came to me with a duff antenna change-over relay. At the time, these were available from the dearly departed Maplin.

Regards
Pete

Knowing what the relays are like, might be worth a dowsing in De-Oxit.

Default Yaesu FT102 RF relay

Can anyone help me with the connections for the RF relay that resides alongside the 6146 valves in the PA compartment? I need a few good photos to show how it is connected, if anyone can help me I would be eternally grateful, please ground the anodes before getting near as high voltages can lurk in here, but it only takes a couple of minutes to remove top cover and lid on the PA compartment, I really need help and am politely asking for it.

This is the drawing I made when replacing the antenna relay on mine.
Sorry, but didn't take any pictures.

Someone, somewhere may have several dozen of those relays sold off in a bag at the end of Maplin.

The three band switch spindles are linked by couplers. These sometimes work loose
meaning the switch contacts don't line up on the correct band so check these.
