Tesla Talisman 306u & 308u some measurements needed please - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Does anyone have a Tesla Talisman they could take a few measurements from please, I need largest width and height measurments on the rear panel of models 306U and 308U, very much appreciated if someone can.

Rushed upstairs to help, as the back looked familiar, but turned out to be a very different 304U on my shelf. Sorry.

Hi Neil, The dimensions on my 308 are height 170mm and width 297mm. Hope this helps. Norman

Many thanks Stuart if I find a decent flat picture or scan I'll get the measurements off you as that will be another to the list.

Norman that's great thank you so much for that, that's another off the list.

I'm now trawling the net for flat images of panels as I find it easier and less hassle to ask for measurements instead of full scans, it's just as easy to work from a picture and the dimensions.

Thought I would bump this, I'm still after width and height of the 306u if anyone has this model please.

I'm also after measurments for round Ekcos and Philco models including the 444 but I'll put this on another post when I get to them.

Hi Neil picture of 306u with home made back cover 255mm x 150mm at max if you want I can send you a template via post .Mick.

Many thanks Graham, i have a picture that i can manipulate with a program i found on the net, all i will really need is the width and height, hang fire for now and i'll do some drawings of the panels i'm after and put on a new post.

Mick thats perfect thank you so much, i'll use the template i have and the sizes you have given to make a panel, can i send you one when cut.

They cut very well, lets hope they fit, will be looking for someone who needs a 308u panel so will post that in the right place.
