2419 HMV Stereomaster - humming
Hi all
When I switch my 2419 HMV Stereomaster on, there's a low hum. Any ideas what it might be, or how to get it fixed? Does anyone know of anyone near Strourbridge (DY9) that I could perhaps take it to for inspection/repair/service? I'm a complete amateur when it comes to this stuff and wouldn't want to risk reparing it myself. Thanks in advance. |

Ask in the wanted section if you're after a repairer.
If you're to have a go at it yourself, as a starting point look at the rectifier and its capacitor. I presume the thing functions normally apart from the hum?

Yes, everything else works fine.
I'm a complete amateur with electronics and have no idea what the rectifier and its capacitor even look like so I'll see if I can find someone to repair it. I've asked in the wanted section for a repairer. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=152172 Thanks Ben Last edited by Jason Guest; 10th Dec 2018 at 1:39 pm. |
