Default Philips n2400 tape recorder dead channel

Hi all,
I have this old tape deck recorder, i have replaced the melted belts, but ! channel is not working.
any help? thanks

Any checks made? Is there any noise from the amplifier channel at all? We need more information. You may need to clean the record/play switch.

Thanks Rich, I previously used servisol but in effect some melted part may have gone between those contacts, so I used a small screw driver this time, and now I have (low) sound from the bad channel.
