I've serviced a few Beard amps and preamps. Service inf is next to impossible to find. The only place I've ever found that may have it is

http://www.beardaudio.com/

The chap who runs that site is the 'inheritor' of the Bill Beard archive, and may have a circuit for your P100. Be prepared for an eye-watering price, though!

Hi

Aub - yes 4 x KT88, and 4 massive transformers, basically 2 separate mono blocks in the same case. I will post some pics here for you (I think it will be OK to post them in this thread, or should I open a new thread ? Mods please ?)

Neil - yes I have contacted and spoken to the new man when I was repairing a P80, not that helpful and ended most sentences with I can repair it for you, costs lots, very complex.......

How "complex" can an audio amp be vs. something like a B/W tele ?
I've just succesfully reverse engineered a schematic for an EDSION HFA12 amp ( 2 channel EL84 p-p ) which was built on a PCB, after finding out from the current owners of the brand that a schematic was unlikely.
I'm sure the same could be done.
The only issue really is setting the bias, if applicable and this could be determined via the "AOT" route.

Is the amp faulty or is this just in case ?

No problem with pictures being posted here Richard - we can always re-locate them if this thread develops into a repair thread, or a success story.
