I have the numerical list of test cards going up to 761 (page 19). Is there another few pages I could add to it?

Further to p59/60 are you still looking for a 917? Do you need to keep the original or just to make a copy from the configuration? Dave W

Ok will def check it out when I reach the North again as promised but as Captain Oates said, "I may be some time". Does this mean you are still a crucial 5 cards short? Dave

Yes, 6 cards short including 917 - so 5 if you can supply that.

The latest info is always on http://home.btconnect.com/gmb/mullard.htm

If anyone knows an MHSVT owner who is not an Internet user then perhaps you could ask them. Especially if they have the military version.

I have a numerical list that has no date or serial number. I has 842 cards listed including many that were later classed as "not issued" (ie 227 for valve 215P or Stentor 2 by Cossor).

Hi Humphrey, would you care to publish it here, or as one of the posts on GMB's thread?

Best regards, Ed

Humphrey, is the list to which you refer a different list from the PDF you sent me?

I only found 1 previously "unissued" card from the last PDF you sent me, i.e. the one you mention.

We have an image of card set 893 but still don't know what valve it tests.

So do you have a valve list that includes that card?

Oh yes, I forgot to say that the valve list item for the unissued card 227 looks like an error because that valve is also listed as card 680.

We don't have an image of card 227.

Oh, unknown valve ok.

I've not checked the list that came with the tester, I assume it's not on there as it is Jan 1966 and that seems to be a popular one which others must have already checked.

Regards
Chris

227 on its way to GMB. Is it not the case that this is now redundant and replaced with card 680 (valve 215P)?

Yes, that seems to be the situation. It would be interesting to compare the cards if you have 227.

I've gone over the web site to bring it more up to date.

Thanks for 227 Humphrey.

Well the surprise is that it is really quite a bit different to card 680.
Presumbly an older attempt at it (?).

Update: I just realised I have one of these cards in my own set.
The mystery has been what it is for.

The last page that should include that valve is missing.
