CV1510 equivalent?
Can anyone enlighten me on what the equivalent of a CV1510 would be as I have read a few pages on here but there seems to be no equivalent.

Re: CV1510 equivalent?
The CV Register entry says replace with CV309, which is allegedly a QV04/7

Re: CV1510 equivalent?
Thank you.
I was hopping for something I had in my other sets to use as a test valve. Hopefully these are quite cheap and easy to find. Regards, Robin. |

Re: CV1510 equivalent?
They're a small VHF bottle, used in various bits of WWII-era military gear (such as the Wireless Set 62) and some of the first VHF two-way civilian mobile radios.
In due course they found their way onto the surplus market and - being cheap - were often used as output-valves in some of the no-name 'kit' 3- or 4-valve 'midget' TRF broadcast-radios that were popular in the 1950s. I guess that they were - as a somewhat obscure VHF tetrode - cheaper on the surplus market at the time than the more-usual 6V6 !! |

Re: CV1510 equivalent?
Currently there are a number of QV04/7 available on e-bay. Also, I have one here which is available.
